Death penalty
What you drop
when you go down.
Palworld's death penalty decides what you leave behind when you die. Pick a setting and see what stays with you. Version 1.0 changed the default for dedicated servers from All to Item.
- None
- Nothing drops. You respawn with everything you had, which suits relaxed and building-first servers.
- Item
- Everything in your bag drops where you fell, but the gear you're wearing stays on you. This is the default since 1.0.
- Item and equipment
- Your bag and the gear you're wearing both drop, so a bad fight costs you your armour too.
- All
- Items, gear and the Pals in your party all drop. It was the default before 1.0, and it's the usual pick for hardcore servers.
